Super Speed Showdown!

Sonic the Hedgehog- The fastest thing alive and Hero of Mobius. Sonic is a fifteen-year-old anthropomorphic hedgehog gifted with the ability to run fast enough to break the sound barrier in mere seconds and beyond and possesses lightning fast reflexes to match. Sonic was born on Christmas Island with his abnormal ability to run at super speed, but his love for adventure eventually called him away from his home. Since then, he has spent his life traveling the globe in search for adventure to satisfy his thirst for thrills. Well-known for his legendary cocky attitude, easy-going demeanor and somewhat short temper, yet strong sense of justice, compassion, and love for freedom and adventure he is a freedom fighter that battles to save the world from the tyrannical Dr. Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik, who constantly seeks world domination. While his top speed is unknown, he has clocked in an average of 768 mph and can further increase his speed with his trademark figure 8 technique. He can scale right up vertical surfaces and ceilings, run over water, plow straight through foes, and even cause the ground to explode in his wake. It has often been stated that Sonic can move at supersonic speed; which ranges from 915-3,840 mph as he has been called the "the world's fastest, hypersonic hedgehog” which ranges from 3,840-7,680 mph. Sonic is even able to move faster than the speed of light as well, E-123 Omega (E-Series Robot created by Eggman) calculated that Sonic's speed could potentially exceed light speed, to which Sonic implied that he can easily run faster than light. Sonic has demonstrated complete mastery of his speed, using it effectively in any kind of environment, and can use it for both high-speed offense and defense. Not only can he run at maximum tilt in straight lines, but also in full tight circles and through sharp turns with full control over his momentum, and without recklessly crashing into unintended targets. However, he has trouble keeping his balance when coming to an unexpected halt at full speed. As for stamina, Sonic's is basically limitless as he has never got tired from running. Sonic can apply his speed for other abilities: he can heal himself by vibrating his body, launch shockwaves by spinning at high speeds, leap in midair, launch stunning waves with kicks and create barriers of super speed. He can also set strong winds in motions with high-speed movements to attack opponents, similar to Aerokinesis. He can curl up into a spiky ball and rip through his opponents with the spin attack and rocket towards an opponent and can hit multiple times with the homing attack. Sonic is incredibly acrobatic and agile, able to avoid lasers and any incoming obstacles with precise and delicate movements, alongside with double jumps and wall jumps. He also has incredible jumping skills, allowing him to jump up to several hundred meters, even when carrying extra weight. Sonic is also quite a survivor and has great durability; he has survived falling from extreme heights, bordering at the edge of space, only to shake it off when landing, and even withstand atmospheric entry unharmed. He can withstand the force of a massive explosion and a Hyper-go-on-based black hole unscathed, being pummeled with swords, and can smash through several robots with his fist without any discomfort. Sonic has used a variety of different shields to improve his abilities. Each shield can deflect minor projectiles and have environmental advantages, though they will disintegrate after blocking a deadly blow. The Fire Shield can absorb fire and heat, though it can't survive underwater (Duh) but can use a fiery dash attack. The Lightning Shield can't survive in aquatic environments either, but it gives Sonic a mid-air jump for further aerial control. The Bubble Shield lets him breathe underwater and control his jumps with a powerful bounce. Sonic's ultimate power-up, however, isn't a shield at all. After absorbing thousands of power rings during his adventures, Sonic has become an embodiment of chaos. By using the power of the seven Chaos Emeralds, Sonic can tap into their incredible power and summon his ultimate form; Super Sonic. In this state, all of Sonic's abilities far surpasses his normal ones and he is able to fly and is nearly invulnerable. However, this transformation consumes a lot of energy and requires Rings to be maintained. In Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles, by transforming the 7 Chaos Emeralds into Super Emeralds he tap into Hyper Sonic, a more powerful and upgraded version of Super Sonic. As great as Sonic is, he also has flaws; Sonic is cocky, arrogant and addicted to action. He gets cranky and unstable when he's cooped up for too long. He also has Aquaphobia; fear of water, as he can’t swim and will sink like a rock. Also apparently according to Yuji Naka (former head of Sonic Team), if Sonic doesn’t sleep for a total of 8 eight hours it will spoil his running. Sash Lilac the Water Dragon- Hero of Avalice and one of the main protagonists of Freedom Planet. Lilac's past is inconclusive, intentionally vague. From what we learned from Freedom Planet, Lilac at one point was an orphan, with no references ever made of her family. At some point during her childhood she joined a street gang known as the Red Scarves; an underground legion of thieves and assassins. Around this time is where she would meet her soon to be best friend Carol Tea the Wildcat. With Carol, she competed in martial arts tournaments for cash prizes on behalf of the Red Scarves, apparently with their skills they made a significant amount of money from them. At some point, gang leader Spade “crossed a line” that neither Lilac or Carol were willing to go over (Possibly  Murder). They both fled the Red Scarves to go independent. Prior to leaving, an incident occurred between Lilac and Spade, though is it unknown if this was linked to Lilac's departure from the gang. What is known is that Lilac feels a degree of guilt about the event, and claims she didn't know what she was doing (a claim that earns her Spade's scorn, hinting that he hasn't forgiven her for the event). After leaving the gang, Both Lilac and Carol became involved in thievery, regularly stealing from the rich during their pilgrimages to Kingdom Stone (a wealthy place where they were going to steal enough funds to sustain themselves for the year) and only steal from the rich. Freedom Planet begins with Lilac and Carol heading to Kingdom Stone when they run into and save a turtle-shelled, duck-billed man named Torque. Later in the story it is discovered that Torque is an alien and was sent on a mission to stop the games main antagonist; Lord Arktivus Brevon, who plans to turn the kingdoms Shuigang, Shang Mu and Shang Tu against each other so he can steal the Kingdom Stone (a crystalline concentration of energy the kingdoms use to power their technology) to power his dreadnought. In the end Lilac and her friends succeeded in saving Avalice and defeat Brevon. Lilac is a close quarter’s combat specialist as she has a strong set of close-ranged attacks that involve hitting enemies with either her boots or her two long strands of hair that she uses to whip her enemies. One of her techniques Dragon Cyclone can be used as either a double jump or ground spin kick but uses a bit of Lilac's stamina. She has the ability of Super Speed, able to run at great speeds and fast enough to run on walls and ceilings. Her top speed however is a mystery. Her signature move, the Dragon Boost, gives her an instant burst of speed and temporary invulnerability. Dragon Boost can be activated on both the ground and in mid-air and can be used as a damaging charge attack against foes. As powerful as Dragon Boost is though, it takes up all of Lilac's stamina but her stamina recharges after a few seconds. She like Sonic, has a set of shields that she uses to help her throughout her adventures. The Wood Shield drops life petals (Health) for every 20 crystals collected and grants her immunity to poisonous attacks. The Earth Shield draws in nearby crystals and grants immunity to earth and crystal-based attacks. The Water Shield allows Lilac breathe underwater and grants immunity to… bubble attacks… The Fire Shield gives constant damage to enemies Lilac comes in contact with and grants her immunity to fire. The Metal Shield grants immunity to spikes and electricity. Lastly the Rainbow Gem gives Lilac temporary invincibility. Lilac is a good-spirited person and is more than willing to help those in trouble or in need. She is very motivated and refuses to give up under any circumstances, even when the rest of the team doubts the success of their mission. Lilac can get very angry but only when pushed to the extreme, such as when Brevon captures her friend Milla and turns her into a bio-mechanical monster, having her attack Lilac and the team. Because of her good heart she was the first and only Dragonblood capable of earning the Magister's trust; one of the kingdom leaders. She has single handedly taken on numerous machines and gunships of Brevons army as well as the Red Scarves leader Spade. She also has great will power as Brevon cut her two strands of hair off her while being tortured through electrocution to the point where her scales started to fall off. Her main weakness is the lack of a ranged attack, although this is mitigated somewhat by the Dragon Boost granting her temporary invulnerability.
