Description
The bow and arrow was a traditional weapon people used that required a considerable degree of training, physical strength, and expertise to operate. In many cultures, bowmen were considered a separate and superior caste because their archery skills were developed from birth and was impossible to recreate in any other way. But then came the Crossbow, the first projectile weapon to be simple, cheap, and easy to master and was just as good. These two are well known for having the crossbow as their main weapon, but which one is better? ;

Crossbow Battle!
Linkle- basically the female Link. In Hyrule Warriors, Linkle lives in a small village in the land of Hyrule where she takes care of Cuccos as a rancher. When she was a little girl, she believed she was to be the reincarnated Hero of Time because of the Triforce symbol on her Compass that was given to her by her grandmother which has been passed down for generations. Her story begins one morning where the villagers start evacuating and she hears that Hyrule Castle is under attack by a demon. Believing the time had come to face her destiny to prove that she is the hero reborn, she puts on a green outfit, grabs her dual crossbows and sets out on a journey to save the kingdom. Linkle's main weapon are her dual Crossbows or the Legends Crossbows which she keeps sheathed in her thigh-high boots, which also act as a sort of Quiver that grants her the ability to quickly reload her Crossbows. Other than normal arrows, Linkle can also use her crossbows to fire Bomb Arrows. She is an agile fighter, even able to perform a fiery spin kick in a similar manner to Link's Spin attack. Linkle also fires a giant Bomb Arrow that she can detonate with a fiery kick, causing an explosion which she is immune too. Linkle's Crossbows glow when certain moves are performed; red when charging a Bomb Arrow and green when rapid-firing. Linkle also has a secondary weapon; the Pegasus Boots. These lightning infused winged boots give Linkle the ability to unleash powerful kicks great enough to make craters and allow her to summon her Cuccos to assist her in battle. She can even use the Cuccos to fly briefly to aid her in performing aerial kicks. However she is somewhat clumsy with them. Another item that is useful is her Grandmother’s mysterious compass which has the ability to weaken certain enemies. Because of her occupation as a Cucco farmer, Linkle has a talent for raising Cuccos to the point where she is able to raise normal Cucco Chicks into Golden Cuccos. Her Cuccos are very loyal and come to her aid during her adventure in Hyrule. Despite her fighting ability and skills, she has a very poor sense of direction often choosing the wrong path or failing to notice nearby road signs… especially when there’s a sign pointing out the correct path to Hyrule Castle! But despite her poor sense of direction she is a phenomenal warrior; she defeated Skull Kid in combat, defeated the Dragon Knight Volga with Darunia, defeated a group of Mini-Imprisoned and teamed up with Fi to defeat the Demon Lord Ghirahim, defeated Zant and Dark Zant and Dark Midna with the real Midna and Princess Zelda, and with Lana and Impa defeated Ganon’s mass army of monsters and demons and saved the Kingdom of Hyrule while Link and Zelda were on a mission to the Temple of the Sacred Sword. She has an honest and courageous heart and a wonderful ally to have.

Huntress- Member of the Bat Family known as Helena Rosa Bertinelli. Helena’s story begins in a Mafia family within Gotham City. The head of this crime group was Franco Bertinelli and his wife Maria Bertinelli. Unfortunately, this was an unhealthy relationship as Maria was frequently physically beaten by her husband though he was careful never to hit her in the face. Maria began to have an affair with a man named Santo Cassamento and eventually became pregnant by him. Knowing the unborn child wasn't his, Franco continued to beat his wife throughout her pregnancy. Maria finally gave birth a healthy baby girl she named Helena Rosa. During the first eight years of Helena's life, she lived in the household of a Mafioso without ever being aware of the criminal activities that took place. One day a man barged in to the Bertinelli household during dinner and shot Franco, Maria and Helena’s brother Pino Bertinelli but spared Helena. The man who killed her family was Mandragora, who Helena's biological father ordered him to do along with a modification that "the sister" be spared. Santo was referring to Maria as “the sister” but Mandragora confused Maria with Helena and so Helena was spared, though she was not supposed to be (Kinda messed up). Helena was placed under the care of her Uncle Tomasso's nephew, Salvatore Asaro who taught her how to fight in hand-to-hand combat and how to wield weapons like the crossbow. Helena began having nightmares of the night her family was taken from her, so her cousin stated the only way to end the nightmares was to kill the one responsible for them; Mandragora. At the age of 15 when she was in boarding school, she discovered that the family she wanted to avenge were actually bad and realized that the Mafia was a force of corruption and evil for a hundred years. When she came home for Christmas she hated everyone but discovered there was something the Mafia feared; The Batman. After witnessing Batman fighting them, she was inspired to fight them too. After completing school and college with knowledge of the Mafia, she went back to her old house that was abandoned after her uncle’s arrest and grabbed her crossbows, a few items and weapons, constructed a costume and returned to Gotham City as the vigilante of vengeance; the Huntress. Huntress a strong and skilled vigilante, mastering different forms of martial arts like Kung Fu, Dragon Style Kung Fu, Street Fighting, and Stick Fighting. Her fighting skills rival Black Canary and enough to give Lady Shiva a challenge who considered by Batman the world’s deadliest female fighter on the planet. She wields her traditional dual-mini crossbows, her aim is so great she once split a bullet in half with a single bolt. Trained by Batman, Nightwing, and what she learned while in college she is an expert in investigation and Criminology. When part of the Birds of Prey she is considered “the Batman” of the group because during her free time she solves cold cases especially if the Mafia is involved. She has also learned the art of stealth and the art of throwing from her cousin Salvatore Asaro. She also has a collapsible metallic staff, a utility belt containing varies gadgets and even has her own motorcycle. At first Huntress was a lot like Marvels the Punisher as she would kill any criminal she encountered but learned to control her temper and anger and was accepted into the Justice League as well as the Birds of Prey. Helena has built up quite a list of feats as Huntress as she killed Mandragora, was briefly Batgirl, survived multiply gun shots from the Joker and replied “Bite Me”, has taken on most of Batman’s iconic villains such as Scarecrow and Black Mask, was a challenge for Catwoman while drugged with Scarecrow’s far gas, killed and defeated multiply members of the Mafia, became leader of the Network which was composed of the Members of the Bat Family, Birds of Prey and a few other heroes during the Battle of the Cowl story, trained Cassandra Cain, defeated Lady Shiva in combat, fast enough to react and catch an arrow, and with Black Canary defeated White Canary. She is a badass but despite her incredible endurance and pain tolerance, she’s been known to lose the trust of her peers including her love interests and is constantly falls back into killing criminals. She’s rough and arrogant but is someone who you want to be put on her hit list.
